Hannah Stoll loves music and people. She lives out her passion for music as a musician on various instruments. Particularly noteworthy are the piano and the saxophone. She studied both instruments at the conservatories in Berlin, Oslo, Rostock and Lübeck. Together with the pianist Nadezda Pisareva she recorded a CD with first recordings for alto saxophone and piano by the composer Gustav Bumcke (1876-1963). For the realization of this CD project she received the Caspar David Friedrich Scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The CD was nominated in the chamber music category for the German Record Critics Award (longlist 2/2016).
As a music educator, Hannah Stoll passes on her enthusiasm for music to people of all ages. Her extensive teaching experience includes instrumental pedagogical individual and group lessons as well as music instruction in general education schools.
She works as a teacher at the vocational school of the state capital Schwerin (department of social work).
At the Rostock University of Music and Theatre, Hannah Stoll has held a teaching position in the subject of saxophone for students of teacher training programs since the summer semester of 2013.
Hannah Stoll takes over the artistic direction of this year's 2nd Güstrower Christmas singing in the Speedway Stadium. Together with the Wosch advertising agency and the company Gemeinsam für Güstrow gGmbH, she will organize an atmospheric event for young and old.
